IOS - Day # I Don't Even Know...

Ios is amazing... time does not exist here. If it were up to me (I didm't pay rent for the pad back in Oregon) I would stay here for possibly another month. I have been offered a job as a DJ here at a bar.. where back home in the states I am still trying to get one, I am sure that being in Greece isn't helping my chances. However I really do want to get back to Or because I am itching to snowboard, I have been finding myself looking at ruin's in Greece thinking... how that would be a sick feature, or a sick rail/stairset to hit... if only there was snow. Next summer, I plan on coming back to Ios, and spending about a month here working... and spend a few days in Crete.

P.S. INTERNET IN GREECE - IS SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have HUNDREDS of pictures ill be uploading..

p.s.s I BROKE MY FUCKING CAMERA BEING DRUNK

Greece...

I am in Greece and I have had one hell of an adventure getting over here! Flight out of Portland at 1:15 Pm, into Frankfurt at 8:30 Am the next morning, where I then had a ten hour layover of just sitting in the airport. I couldn't sleep, all I did was drink coffee, lots of coffe and read, I tried to talk to a few people, but no one would have any of it. I guess I didnt really fit in with my skin tight jeans, long black hair, and bright blue V-neck T. Finally I fly into Athens, which by the way was only a 2 hour and 50 min. flight but I was called an asshole for asking the man next to me if he minded that i went by him to go pee... what a jerk, I got yelled at by a German Rastafarian for accidently taking his water cup while he was peeing... its ok tho, i made it up to him by giving him my chocolate cake. On the way to meet Kari in Athens next to the Acroplis, i got lost a number of times, ended up just taking a cap, and i was litterally almost where I needed to be! Had a beer at like 1 Am in Athens, and called it a morning. Jetlagged as crap the next day I explored the Acroplis and got some nice shots, then that afternoon Kari and I hopped on a Ferry for the island of Santorini. We got into Santorini at 1 Am, where we set up camp (two towells, one TINY blanket, a few t-shirts as pillows and fell asleep in the ferry waiting room, which had smelly dogs, and AC that was blowing like 50 degrees! The next morning we got on the ferry to Ios, and finally got to get to the beach and go out to the bars!

I will post more info later with pictures, but as of right now, Greek internet sucks, and I have to pay for it...

Ten Things I Hate About Flying

1.Crying Babies!
2.Jet lag
3.Being called an asshole for having to pee
4.Getting elbowed by the dude next to you
5.Sitting in an airport for 10 hours waiting for your layover to end.
6.Sitting down for like 3-10 hours straight
7.Small seats
8.The person next to you leaning on you because they are so big...
9.Airplane food
10.CRYING BABIES!!!!

I am in Greece finally, in the past three days I have still only acquired about 3 hours of sleep IF THAT! It is nice to be in warm weather for once, it is a welcome change after spending the beginning of my summer in snow and rain... and when it was sunny it was no where warm enough to go swimming anyway, so I am very excited to head over to the island of IOS tonight, where I probably wont get much sleep because we will be sleeping on the streets tonight... However, bright side... I get to go swimming tomorrow!!! YAY!!

Day 8 in Oregon! Snowboarding and Exploring

Today was the first spring like day here in Oregon at Mt. Hood. All the others days since we got up here have been cloudy cold and snowing. Today was PERFECT! 51 degrees, no wind, and slushy snow! Here are just some random pictures of Max, Derek, and I riding a little bit. After shredding we then went home to a nice hot tub session. After that Jo, Adrianne and I decided to go touring the Oregon countryside. We had a great time screwing around finding beautiful things and getting ice cream!

The most fun about Mt. Hood are these little wind lips that you can double or even triple gap

After shredding we met up with Jo and Adrianne who didnt get to ride because they couldnt find themselves any tickets in the parking lot, so we headed into govy for some Huckleberry shakes and Tacos.

After we played an intense round of Frisbee in a crap ton of mud Jo, Adrianne and I set out on an adventure to explore.

Music Review: The Devil Wears Prada, Catherine

I posted my last post about a week ago, about what my thoughts were going to be on the new upcoming Devil Wears Prada Release "With Roots Above, and Branches Below" I had only heard two songs and I predicted it would be a good one. When it came out i got a hold of it and gave it a listen. At first listen, i was a little amazed on how heavy it was. I did not believe these boys had it in them to be this heavy. This CD is another step forward for these boys, however it is no Dear Love: A Beautiful Dischord, in which i still believe is their best album. With most of their fans not liking their sophmore album - "Plauges" this is a good album for you. It is a combination of just pure heavy with a little bit of electronica like their freshman album. I find this album as a pretty darn good album, however after about the sixth song, it all starts to blend into one common sound, which is a generic metalcore album.

Overall Rating : 6 out of 10.

Track Listing :
1.Sassafras
2.I Hate Buffering
3.Assistant to Regional Manager
4.Dez Moines
5.Big Wiggy Style
6.Danger:Wildman
7.Ben Has a Kid
8.Wapalkalpse
9.Gimme Half
10.Louder than Thunder
11.Lord Xenu

Downside to this Cd - Generic Hardcore/Metalcore album, some songs just blend together.
Tracks that stand out:
1.Sassafras - This is a way to start off an album. Pretty heavy, catchy and intense.
2.Assistant to Regional Manager -
5.Big Wiggy Style - The intro to this song is amazing. Heavy Heavy Heavy! this song reminds me of Dear Love.
